A few previous construction projects............

Solid Oak Fence and Gates
Built to order, and made to replace the very old, rotten original oak fence, the palisades were individually cut so that the bottom followed the uneven ground, with the top "turrets" running level. The posts will last longer than the originals, as they were given additional protection below ground level.

Two Neighbouring Carports
After building the first, the neighbour asked if I could build her one too!
I built the top one after knocking down and removing the old dilapidated garage. The offset support is to allow easier access due to being offset from the drive entrance.
I designed the below car port with a steeped roofline to allow the clients camper to enter down their steep drive, whilst keeping it as low and as wide as possible to allow for stacking of firewood undercover.

Complete Garden Overhaul
The client asked me to design her a garden that is full of colour that has low maintenance. To do this I built two matching raised beds with matching planters for the paved area, tying the two areas together. I then filled them with a mixture of perennials and annuals, and fitted an easy to use irrigation system. To keep the garden soft, on the ground I spread a path of bark chip around the edges, and planted a carpet of creeping thyme in the middle, which is great at helping to suppress weeds, and when brushed past smells amazing!
I installed wires so that in time the climbing roses will create a beautiful upper boundary with a sweet scent.
The rest of the beds are filled with Hydrangeas for height and impact, Lavenders for colour and scent, and various trailing and non trailing annuals for more colour that can be changed for variety, year on year.

A Precise Picket
This customer asked me to build a long lasting picket fence to replace their old rotten hazel hurdle fence. Being built within a few inches from a very fast flowing river, it had to be made so that it can be easily taken down in sections to enable it to be maintained and painted on both sides. As it is in direct line of sight from most of the house, the fence had to be bespoke to allow it to precisely follow the contours of the ground, whilst being perfectly level along the top and follow the property boundary.

Raised Beds
There are many different types and styles of raised beds, and these are just a few that I have built.
They can be built to your exacting requirements, any shape or size.
The choice of timber can also vary. The most widely used is pressure treated soft wood, like on the left side, but for those that want to be Organic, these can also be built, such as these on the right.

This is one of the raised beds from the garden overhaul, featured above, before being filled with soil and planted up

Above: Standing at the back, above the large squash bed, is a climbing frame for the clients organic climbing cucumber.

Jetty
In this remote location where a client wanted to be able to make more use of the beautiful and tranquil river at the bottom of their garden, I built this cantilever jetty.
All of the timber was pressure treated, and all fixings were stainless steel to ensure longevity, even in the case of the area flooding.
